Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Things for People LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Seven mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate and improve the App.

Account Information

When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we may receive:

- Your Apple ID email address (which may be a private relay address)
- A unique, opaque identifier associated with your Apple account

We do not receive or store your Apple ID password.

Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide through the App, such as:

- Your username (“handle”) and profile information (e.g., display name, profile color, optional profile photo)
- Status updates and structured responses
- Photos you post (“Shots”)
- Feedback, support requests, and reports you submit

Photos (“Shots”)

When you post a photo:

- The photo is processed on your device before upload. We resize and re-encode it and, in doing so, strip embedded metadata such as GPS location and EXIF camera data from the version we store.
- The processed photo is stored in Apple iCloud / CloudKit (see Section 5) and shared only with the connections you choose — it is not posted publicly.
- Photos are subject to the retention limits described in Section 6.

You should only post photos you have the right to share, and only photos of other people who have consented to being shared (see our Terms of Service).

Usernames

Your username identifies you within the App and is visible to other users. It may be:

- Searchable by other users within the App
- Displayed in connection with your activity (such as connections or interactions)
- Stored in a shared directory that enables account discovery

As a result, your username should be considered public within the App environment. Because usernames are searchable, others may discover your account if they know or guess your handle. We take reasonable steps to limit abuse, including restricting excessive or automated access. Do not include sensitive personal information in your username.

You can change your username (subject to availability) or delete your account, which removes your username from our systems, subject to standard retention periods.

Diagnostic Information

We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking. Apple may provide us with limited, aggregated crash and performance data through its standard App Store and TestFlight tools if you have enabled sharing with developers in your device settings. We do not collect behavioral analytics.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

- Provide and operate the App
- Create and manage user accounts
- Enable social features, connections, and content sharing (including photos)
- Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of the platform
- Review and act on reports of harmful or prohibited content
- Respond to support requests
- Improve performance and reliability
- Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information may be shared only in these situations:

- With other users, as part of how the App works — your username and the content you choose to share (including photos) are visible to your connections.
- With service providers that help operate the App. The App is built on Apple’s iCloud / CloudKit infrastructure, which stores and syncs your data. We do not currently use any third-party analytics, tracking, or hosting providers. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or legal process, or to respond to lawful requests.
- To protect safety, rights, or property of users, the public, or us — including reporting apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

4. User Content and Visibility

Content you share in the App — including photos — may be visible to other users depending on the feature and on the connections you have established. Seven is designed as a private, connection-based app: your content is shared with your mutual connections rather than the general public. However, people you share with may be able to view, and potentially save or screenshot, content you post. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data, including photos, is stored using Apple iCloud / CloudKit. We take reasonable steps to protect your information using industry-standard practices. However, no system can guarantee complete security.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to operate the App and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Status content and associated photos are retained for a limited period as part of the App’s design (a small number of recent daily entries) and older entries are removed automatically. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required by law. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

7. Reporting and Safety Data

When you report content or another user, we collect the information needed to review the report — such as the reported content or account, the reason for the report, and your identity as the reporter — so we can investigate and take appropriate action. We may retain records of reports and enforcement actions for safety, legal, and integrity purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the ability to:

- Request access to your data
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing

You can delete your account in the App, and you may exercise other rights by contacting us at seven@thingsforpeople.co. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at seven@thingsforpeople.co.

10. International Users

We operate the App from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, the updated date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
