Terms of Service

Last updated: June 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Seven mobile application (the “App”), operated by Things for People LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit them to create accounts (see our Privacy Policy).

2. Accounts

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Usernames

To use the App, you must select a unique username (“handle”). Usernames are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and must comply with these Terms.

You agree that your username:

- Does not impersonate another person, brand, or entity
- Does not infringe any trademark or other right
- Does not contain offensive, abusive, hateful, or otherwise prohibited content
- Does not include sensitive personal information

Usernames are public within the App and may be used by other users to search for and identify your account.

We reserve the right to:

- Reject, change, or remove usernames that violate these Terms
- Reclaim usernames that are inactive for an extended period
- Reassign usernames if required for legal or operational reasons

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. The Service

Seven is a private, connection-based status and photo-sharing app. Your content is shared with the limited set of people you have mutually connected with — not broadcast to the public. The App may include features such as daily prompts, status updates, structured responses, and photo posts (“Shots”).

We may modify, add, or remove features at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

- Violate any law or regulation
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or harm other users
- Post or share illegal, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
- Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the App
- Scrape, collect, or harvest usernames or user data at scale
- Use automated systems to access or query the service excessively
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or safety features

5. User Content

You may submit content such as text, status updates, structured responses, and photos through the App (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.

By posting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the App and delivering your content to the connections you choose to share it with. This license ends when your content or account is deleted, except for (a) content others have re-shared or retained in accordance with the App’s features, and (b) copies retained for a reasonable period in backups or as required by law.

Your representations about User Content

By posting any User Content — and especially any photo — you represent and warrant that:

- You own it or have all rights and permissions necessary to post and share it;
- It does not infringe or violate the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person;
- You have the consent of every identifiable person depicted in a photo to post and share that photo with your connections;
- It does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

6. Prohibited Content

You may not post, upload, share, or transmit any content — including any photo — that:

- Sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexualized content involving minors are strictly and absolutely prohibited. We report such content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law (see Section 8).
- Is non-consensual intimate imagery (“revenge porn”) or depicts another person in a private or intimate setting without their consent.
- Is pornographic, sexually explicit, or contains nudity intended to be sexual.
- Is hateful, harassing, threatening, or promotes violence or discrimination against individuals or groups.
- Depicts graphic violence, gore, self-harm, or cruelty.
- Promotes or facilitates illegal activity, including the sale of illegal goods.
- Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
- Contains another person’s private or sensitive information without consent.
- Is intended to deceive, defraud, or impersonate.

This list is not exhaustive. We may remove any content we believe violates these Terms or may harm users, the App, or the public.

7. Content Moderation, Reporting, and Blocking

We take user safety seriously. The App provides tools to:

- Report content or users you believe violate these Terms;
- Block or disconnect from other users, which stops future sharing between you and that user;
- Delete your own content at any time.

You may also report content or conduct by emailing seven@thingsforpeople.co.

We reserve the right (but are not obligated, except where required by law) to review, remove, or restrict access to any User Content or account that we believe violates these Terms or may cause harm. We may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and we may act on reports we receive. We aim to review reports of serious harm promptly.

We do not guarantee that all harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content will be detected or removed.

8. Child Safety (Zero Tolerance)

We have a zero-tolerance policy for content or conduct that sexually exploits or endangers minors. Accounts involved in such activity will be terminated. Where we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we will preserve relevant information and report it to NCMEC and/or appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

9. Responsibility for User Content

Users are solely responsible for the content they post or share through the App. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, safety, or legality of any User Content. Views expressed by users do not represent the views of Things for People LLC. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible or liable for User Content posted by users of the App.

10. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at seven@thingsforpeople.co with the following (per 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)):

1. Your physical or electronic signature;
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it;
4. Your contact information (address, telephone number, email);
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

We may remove allegedly infringing content and terminate repeat infringers. A user whose content is removed may submit a counter-notice as permitted by law.

11. Mental Health Disclaimer

The App is intended for personal reflection and social communication only. It does not provide medical advice, mental health treatment, or therapy, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or believe you may need professional support, seek help from a qualified professional or contact your local emergency services. Use of the App does not create a therapist–patient, doctor–patient, or other professional relationship with us.

12. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information (including photos).

13. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time within the App. When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize associated personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Usernames may become available for reuse after deletion, subject to our internal policies.

14. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, software, name, and branding, is owned by Things for People LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App without our permission.

15. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Things for People LLC and its owners, officers, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use of the App; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be reliable, available, secure, or error-free, and we are not responsible for user behavior or content.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Things for People LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed USD $100 or the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts located in Kings County, New York, and the federal courts located in the Eastern District of New York, for any dispute not subject to other agreed dispute-resolution terms.

19. Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, secure, or free of errors. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
